Welcome to an opportunity to experience the wonders of the natural world around us by visiting Cedar Ridge Farm.  This is the first year for the program to be offered.  It began this past spring.  As of now, there have been students from more than 50 families to experience the farm.  The programs are designed to incite the intrigue of young minds as they learn by seeing,touching, smelling, and maybe even tasting what they so often only read about.  Sessions are either 3 or 4 hours in duration with a meal break in betwen, and the program changes with the four seasons.  There is a special emphasis on learning about plants and animals, though rocks, soil, and fossils are sometimes focal points. Cedar Ridge Farm boasts 105 acres, horses, cattle, deer, wild turkeys, coyotes, occasional bobcat sightings, hills, and creeks.  And the sky may be the limit as to what can be experienced and learned on your visit.
